Arthur Medina, Artist
El Santuario de Chimayó Crosses
Chimayó New Mexico artist Arthur Medina has created a beautiful collection of tin crosses inlaid with turquoise. But these are not ordinary crosses. Each piece is made from the actual roof of El Santuario de Chimayó, the world famous church and site of the most important Catholic pilgrimage center in the United States. The dirt from El Santuario is believed to contain miraculous healing powers. What powers lie in these crosses is yours to discover!
